Super Cruising Mission #15:
Dear Friends,
We have made it through 3 weeks of Holiday Super Cruising! I want each and everyone of you to take some time out for yourselves for a cup of tea or hot chocolate and remind yourselves that you are FLYing and taking BabySteps through the Holidays! We are so proud of each and every one of you! Happy Holidays to you all!
Yesterday you made one last run to purchase anything you might have left till the last minute. Do you have anything to wrap? If so; Do it now! Get out your Holiday Control Journal and see if there is anything that you have forgotten. Check your Holiday Budget while you are there. I am so proud of you! Let's Cruise!
Today is Anti-Procrastination Day! Mail your packages and cards that you prepared yesterday; pick up your dry cleaning. Have you checked you grocery list to make sure you have everything you need for your holiday baking. Are there any more gifts that you need to run out and buy? How about a holiday centerpiece for your table? You deserve to have a nice arrangement! After today you are ready to Cruise! I want the rest of December to enjoyable.
Tomorrow is anti-procrastination day. Do you have cards that have not been mailed yet or packages? Get them ready now. Take 15 minutes and do as many cards as you can. They don't have to be perfect. The United States Post Office website says that December 15th is the last day for Parcel Post, December 20th for 1st Class and Priority mailing in the United States to insure that packages arrive by December 25th. Also is there anything that you have not ordered? Take the time today to get all of these things prepared
and ready to mail!!
Let's make today a fun day! Are there any homemade gifts that you have not finished? Cookies that need to be baked or mixes like cafe' mocha that you have not put together yet? Let's get all of these done and ready to be delivered. If you need cookie recipes they are on our website. Check out the Cruising Through the Holidays section for recipes. Turn on some favorite music and have fun! This is what Cruising through the Holidays is all about!
Your mission for today is to wrap and decorate!!! Set your timer for
15 minutes and see how many packages you can get wrapped! Have fun
and enjoy this! Put on some Holiday music and get into the spirit of
the season. For an added bonus mission, set your timer for another
15 minutes and set out some of the Holiday decorations that you have
not gotten up yet and/or set your holiday cards that you have
received out for display. We are having fun this season by FLYing 15
minutes at a time!!!

Super Cruising Mission #9: Reviewing Your Holiday Control Journal
Dear Friends,
As we are cruising through the Holidays it is time to review our
Holiday Control Journal.
Your mission for today is to check your lists and then check it
twice!!
Do you have a menu plan with grocery list for your Holiday meals?
Have you checked your gift list lately and crossed off as you have
shopped and updated it?
Have you finished preparing your holiday cards and purchased stamps?
Are your packages ready to be mailed and have you scheduled time to
take them to the post office?
Have you checked your calendar to make sure that you have planned
accordingly for the Holiday that you will be celebrating?
Have you placed all of your online, catalog and mail orders for gifts?
Have you taken time out just for you? Maybe have a cup of tea and
quietly sit and review your lists.
We are cruising through the holidays 15 minutes at a time!

Super Cruising Mission #8: Guest Rooms and Serving Dishes
Dear Friends,
We are using the Super Holiday Cruising Missions to help us take care
of other areas in our home other than the current zone, decorate and
to remember to take time out for ourselves.
For today there are two missions to choose from:
If you are having guests coming to stay with you over the holidays,
you need to prepare the guest room, or wherever they will be
sleeping. Take 15 minutes to get your linens (sheets, towels etc)
ready and if you know of certain needs that your guest will have
prepare a list that will help you keep those in mind. Do you need to
borrow a high chair or playpen? Do you need new sheets for your sofa
bed? Take care of these things now so they will not be forgotten.
Take 15 minutes today to get your serving dishes, plates and
silverware ready for your Holiday meal. Do you need to polish, scrub
or shine anything? Take a look at what you have, what you want to
use and try to get these items ready. What you can take care of in
15 minutes, schedule time for later this week.
Always remember that you can do anything for 15 minutes!!! We are
FLYing through the holidays.

Super Cruising Mission #7: Establish Your Budget
Dear Friends,
Your Holiday mission for today is to take time out to establish a
budget for the Holidays. Get out your Holiday Control Journal.
Look over your gift lists and menus and try to work on a budget for
these things. When you establish a budget and try very hard to work
within that budget you will find that you do not go overboard on your
spending because you have taken the time out to plan and think things
through instead of shopping impulsively.
Try to establish when you can start your shopping and to break it
down into small manageable tasks. You need to figure out how much
money you can afford for: gifts, mailing, wrapping supplies, travel
expenses, meals, baking etc.
You can put these numbers into your Holiday Control Journal.
Taking things that are overwhelming and breaking them down into
babysteps help us keep the CHAOS away!! Just a little planning will help even when we are in December.

Super Cruising Mission #6: Baking Needs
Dear Friends,
Today is Errand Day at FlyLady and your mission for today is to make
a list of anything that you still need for any baking that you are
planning to do and also for any party/entertaining food that you need.
If you are going to the grocery store today for your errand day, try
to get this list tackled. To have all of your supplies on hand and
know that you are prepared BEFORE you start baking and realize you
missed something is one of the best gifts you can give yourselves for
the holidays.

Super Cruising Mission #5: Fling out the Fridge!
Dear Friends,
It is anti-procrastination day!!! We are cruising ahead and gearing
up for the Holidays!!!
Today is the day to toss out the leftovers from the refrigerator!!
It is time to toss the potential science projects and wipe down the
shelves. Toss those 3/4 empty condiments and the packets of
condiments from the fast food restaurants! We all have them LOL!!!
Turn on some Holiday music, set your timer and fling out the fridge!!

Super Cruising Mission #4: Hair Appointments!
Dear Friends,
I informed all of you Saturday that we are into Super Cruise mode
for the Holidays. We will be decorating, cleaning outside of our
Zones and pampering ourselves!
Your mission for today is to make any appointments that need to be
made for the holidays.
Do you need a hair cut, a manicure, do you have dry cleaning that
needs to be taken in, do you need to schedule a vet or kennel
appointment, do you need to make hotel reservations, do you need a
doctor or dentist appointment, and also for your children and/or
spouse? These are all things that we have a tendency to put off
until tomorrow and yet when tomorrow comes we say "I'll get to it
tomorrow" TODAY is the day. You will be surprised at what little
time it actually takes to make these calls when you are finished!
You can FLY! You can do this! Have fun and be proud of yourself for
being a part of the Super Cruise through the Holidays!

Super Cruising Mission #3: Clean and Fling
Dear Friends,
We are ready to kick off the FLYing through the Holidays Cruise!
Your first assignment is a Clean and Fling Mission! When doing your
Weekly Home Blessing today grab a small trash bag or one of those
plastic grocery bags, make friends with it as you are going to carry
it through your weekly home blessing. As you enter each room when
you see anything that needs to be tossed just fling it into your
bag. It is amazing how much stuff we have laying around that can be
tossed that we just don't take care of and before you know it a hot
spot is flaring up!
Don't think too hard or obsess over this, just fling, fling and fling
some more. Give yourself bonus points if you fill the bag up!! LOL!!

Super Cruising Mission #2: Checking the Linen Closet
Dear Friends,
Today is the day to dive into your linen closet for 15 minutes. Put away
all the Thanksgiving linens and make sure that you have sheets and blankets ready for any guests that you
will be having for the holidays. This is really easy if you just cleaned up from Thanksgiving. Get any table linens ready for your
Holiday meals and also make sure that you have plenty of dish towels
and bath towels laundered and ready to go. Set that timer! We are
FLYing!!! Make a list if you need to purchase anything new.

Super Cruising Mission #1: Decorate something in your home
Dear Friends:
We are gearing up to take this Cruise through the Holidays to a new
level! It is time for all of us to get ready! If you are currently
celebrating your Holiday or getting ready in a few weeks, come aboard
and get moving!
Because we will not get through all of the Zones before some of the
holidays this month, we are going to have missions that will take us
outside of our current zones to maintain, pamper ourselves and
decorate! We are FLYing!!
Your mission for today is to spend 15 minutes decorating something in
your home. It could be some lights around the entrance area, a
wreath, whatever. Don't overwhelm yourself and drag every decoration
you own out, just select a few special items and start your
decorations. You may have already started this and that is great.
If you have managed to get all of your decorations up already, then
take a few moments to put away the boxes and "stuff" that seems to
pile up from the decorations. Get the boxes put away and ready for
when you will need to bring them out again in a few weeks to put the
decorations away. This makes the Holiday clean up so much easier!!
